This special shortened adaptation of Shakespeare's classic comedy is designed to be a child's introduction to The Bard's language and characters. This production focuses on the world of the Fairy King and Queen and the Rude Mechanicals, a group of tradesmen who gather in the woods on a summer night to rehearse a play they are preparing for the royal wedding. Best for students grades 2 - 5.

The goal of this adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is to introduce young audiences to the major plot which, like many Shakespeare's plays, is based on the conflicts within families, new love, and the battle between humans and nature. The more adult characters and themes are removed.
