Pattern Nation: Waves

by Andrew Perry

Pattern Nation: Waves is Pollyanna's fourth installment of the Patterns series of plays originated by Emily Ball Cicchini. For this adventure, playwright Andrew Perry introduces four brand new character brought together to discover all the different types of waves in the world. From the ocean to sound and light, these friends explore many patterns found in science and nature, as well as patterns in themselves. This play is a fast-paced theatrical exploration that gives children in the audience an opportunity to recognize, as well as make, many different patterns, the building blocks of pre-literacy.

Pattern Recognition Skills are vital. Young learners can not begin to master basic math or reading without the ability to recognize simple patterns. PATTERN NATION: WAVES is the next installment that brings this practice to life on the stage.
