The Secret of the Soap and Spin

Ten-year-old Vic’s mother goes missing, and he discovers that an out-of-order dryer at the neighborhood laundromat is the portal to a secret, underground world populated by those who have escaped the normal world above. These include Lint, Dusty (a vengeful dust bunny), and a worn-out Mop. Is Vic’s mother there, too? Vic is about to find out. A metaphor for the opioid crisis, this play explores the struggle to recover from addiction, both for the addicted and those they’ve left behind. This play, by award-winning playwright Jonathan Graham, is intended for children grades 2 – 5.
