Currently, Jason splits his time teaching and directing young actors at Kid's Acting and performing with Pollyanna Theatre. He also works for Pollyanna and the City of Austin in a joint effort to teach third graders in Austin about recycling and why it is so important.
In his spare time Jason volunteers and is a foster parent for the kitten and cat rescue group, Cat's Angels. He is also an avid Denver Broncos fan. Go Broncos! Jason would like to thank Judy for giving him such a wonderful opportunity to perform and direct here in Austin and looks forward to growing along with Pollyanna Theatre. |

A Letter from
Jason Marlett
To our patrons:
I am one of the founding members of the Pollyanna Theatre Company and have been very involved with theatre for youth for a long time. Theatre is a passion of mine, as is working with children. Performing or directing for young audiences is a wonderful way to bring those two worlds together. To me, the arts are so important; they add new ideas, fresh perspectives, and such enjoyment into our lives. Performing and teaching children about theatre gives them a rich educational experience and opens up many new avenues of thought and self expression. It also introduces them to the art form I feel so passionate about and helps to start a new generation of artists, actors,
theatregoers, and well-rounded individuals.
I feel as passionate about my work with Pollyanna Theatre. Whether it's directing a show about animal tricksters, performing the color "Green" to help younger audience recognize patterns, or showing local 3rd graders the
importance of recycling, Pollyanna Theatre is working to impact the lives of young people, and the communities where they live, in a positive manner. I'm just glad that I not only get to perform in and direct plays, but I get to do those things with a wonderful theatre company like Pollyanna. I hope all of our patrons enjoy our productions as much as we love bringing them to you.
Thank you so much! Jason Marlett
